Idea of Heaven - 55 words

'Cuddled up on an enormous chair with a soft cushion, a cup of hot chocolate and a soft blanket to warm up the insides, favourite book in hand and reading to my heart's content without any interruptions, falling in love with the characters of the book' I replied when asked about my idea of heaven.

Zephyr of Love : 55 words

a mundane existence
life dragged away
uncomplicated
it was for sure
unaware
caught I was
amidst
zephyr of your love
slowly
sweeping away the
blues
colouring my existence
zephyr then
whirlwind now
whirlwind of happiness
wafting away
the discomforts
drunk on your being
high on you
I am floating
still
in your
zephyr of love

A Bunch of 55 Fiction

In love with a Blogger:

He:   I like you and I know you don’t. I can’t force you to like me.
She: I hope you understand.
He:   Yeah. But hey, I hope you are not going to blog about this proposal.
She: Nope. I won’t.

Half an hour later

*Now, what should be the character’s name?*

****************************************************************************************
The Misunderstanding:

She: Come on, she was not worth your love. Move on buddy. And what is all this shit about not getting married ever? Trust me, if you don’t marry, then an amazing woman shall loose an opportunity to have a superb husband in you.

He:  *Amazing woman? Oh my God, is she talking about herself? *

****************************************************************************************
What are friends for?

Me:        Tomorrow is first exam of our MBA. Its accounts and you are a science                     graduate. Would you pass?
Friend:   Don’t you worry. I am going to score good in this paper too.
Me:         Ok. What is a balance sheet?
Friend:   Balance sheet is where journal entries are made.
Me:         *He is going to fail*

****************************************************************************************

Jia:     You know I have phobia of doctors. Just tell him that I have fever and                      cough.
Mom:  You can’t take medicines like that every time. And this new doctor doesn’t              prescribe medicines without seeing the patient.
Jia:     Then, I would prefer dying here.

Tit for Tat:

Neha:     That client Rahul is giving me such nightmares with the agreement. He                  just rejects whatever I propose.

Neha:      I don’t even know who has been called by Mom now?

Little did she know - 55 Fiction

She never told him how crazily she loved him because she wanted to wait till their
marriage. She was even secretly penning their love story into a book as her wedding gift for the man who always made smile reach her eyes. Little did she know that their love story would never reach its destination!

********************************************************************************************

While searching job portal, she remembered her placement day when she had
refused corporate communications profile because she had studied Finance. Little did she know that two years later, she would find her calling in communications and would do anything to trade her present job for the one offered to her at her campus placements.

Conditions Apply

Wish to be a tenant of Bigg Boss House? Following conditions apply:
*        Should have made a hit-and-miss appearance in movies or television
*        Talented enough to get angry at the drop of a hat
*        Ability to scream at the top of vocal cords
*        Capable of washing dirty linen in public
*        Adept at over-showing emotions

Any takers?

*****************************************************************************************

I feasted on romance in novels, was drunk on the idea of love portrayed in them and waited for my Prince Charming. I couldn’t believe my luck when he proposed exactly like my favourite character. Little had I known, that love in today’s times comes with * mark quoting Conditions Apply in tiniest fonts! Sigh.

*******************************************************************************************

It never bothered you when I wrote love poems. Sometimes I can also put up a rant for the fight we had on the blog. That’s my way of calming down. Plus, I never mentioned your name. I wrote it as fiction. We writers come with Conditions Apply. Didn’t you read them before getting married?

The Ultimate Companions !!

‘Nobody understands me except my friends. And I am going to meet them’ – she screamed with tears streaming down her eyes and ran outside.  There she was. Holding them in her arms, she felt complete. They understood her solitude. They provided her everything without expectations. Smelling them, she felt calm. Books! Ah, her ultimate companions.

P.S. - This 55fiction is based on the below photo prompt provided by Write Tribe

Why do you love me ??

‘Why do you love me even though we are so different’ - she typed. Her apple pie lay untouched.

Prince looked up from his microscope, stood up from his chair with a twirl, reached the Macbook and replied: ‘Coz love didn’t read my ‘Gita’ or your ‘Quran’ before coming into our lives. It just arrived.

P.S. - My first attempt at 55 fiction using keywords - Pie, Prince, Microscope, Twirl           and Macbook.
