Chemistry

The smiles, the smoke
The flowing talks
When judgement wasn’t being served
And silence too meant a lot

Boundaries were being bent
Frustrations found a vent
Where love wasn’t on the cards
But the chemistry to go unnoticed
It seemed hard

When the need to name
And the urge to confine
What they shared as a relation
Seemed vain and futile

When my soul went discreetly quiet

When the gypsy in me
Could no longer flee
Hypocrite to myself I now seem
While strangling, one by one, my own dreams
And amidst all this uprooting disquiet
I felt my soul going discreetly quiet

When people who so near
Could no longer hear
My insides tearing apart
Tiny pieces crumbling from my heart
And amidst all this uprooting disquiet
I felt my soul going discreetly quiet

When friendships that were strong
Made you feel all wronged
Facades that I couldn’t break
Trust even was put at stake
And amidst all this uprooting disquiet
I felt my soul going discreetly quiet

When everything around seemed hazy
Madness inside reached a new level crazy
Control on life was unheard of
Once silent waters now seemed rough
And amidst all this uprooting disquiet
I felt my soul going discreetly quiet

Because your soul has a way
To make you hear which aloud you can't say
It withers from the insides
Without making much noise
And amidst all this uprooting disquiet
You can feel your soul going discreetly quiet

Alone

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
Sometimes it gets lonely. So lonely that it feels as if I’m the only person on this planet. Alone. Totally alone. And on such nights, it is only the loneliness that talks to me. Talks to me in a language that just the two of us can understand! Because it has been my companion. Since long! It talks. And while it talks, it transports me. It transports me to a bygone era. An era where a part of me, or wait; the whole me lives. Still. The funny thing being that this loneliness wasn’t in sight then. Today, it enwraps me like air and the irony is that it feels exactly like lack of it. A complete blackout; not of light, but of my emotions. Or maybe not. Because at such times, the only emotion I can feel is ‘YOU’.

Sharp as Swords

Your words
Sharp as swords
Purposely you say
Them you do not weigh
Aiming to derogate
For unknown reasons, me you hate

Your words
Sharp as swords
They shake me up
They break me down
Constantly on loop
In my mind now they play

Your words
Sharp as swords
I replay them again
And rises inside a sharp pain
My day is spoilt, and so is my mood
Inside I sit and relentlessly brood

Your words
Sharp as swords
You called me to meet
And with your words, you mistreat
Didn’t take you minutes at all
To find within me unknown faults

Your words
Sharp as swords
Play, replay
They constantly go on
If only
You would have stopped
To think and weigh

Your words
Sharp as swords
May be it’s in your nature
To not nurture
But merely cause hurt
Your words
Yes !
They were sharp as swords

Unmade as always

Unmade as always
But hey, I like it that ways
Creases forming intricate designs
This bed has seen all my mood signs
Cried I have sunken on the pillows
When life was vague and nothing but hollow
Privy to all sweet nothings
Along with sweethearts, it listened to talks so mushy
Sitting in my sweat pants
Writing poetry and the rants
While readying for the hangouts
On it, all the dresses have been laid out
Jumped on it in excitement
Punched it hard in resentment
Pizza crumbs on it be found
And yes, my phone must also be around
Cuddled on it with soft toys
Under warm blankets, oh what joys!
Lazed around for hours at a stretch
Lost in thoughts sitting on its edge
Me and my world it has held
Oh yes, I just love my unmade bed!
