E - Emotions

He:
I am sorry for yesterday. I didn’t mean to be like that.

She:
You should be sorry. You were rude and you made fun of me when I said something serious. I was just saying that I like having you around. That you are a great friend and I miss our conversations when you are not there. And what do you do? Oh, we can't reply like a normal human being and say that yes I miss you too. So what do we do? Let’s make fun of her when she is being emotional. How humane of you, isn’t it?

He:
I didn’t mean to make fun of you.

She:
But you still did that.

He:
You are taking it all in the wrong sense

She:
Right. So tell me what sense should I make out of the fun you make of me every time I say something emotional or about my attachment towards you.

He:
That I was not like this before. I was way too emotional, too dependent. The so-called break up changed everything. It made me realize that it is hazardous to be emotional. And if you are one, you are sure to be taken for a ride. You know, love can become an unspeakable suffering too? The one which can put all your emotions at stake.

She:
Listen, I am broken too. You know it. But somewhere, I still believe in loving somebody more than myself. Some dusty corner of my heart still believes in being emotional.

He:
I don’t think that would be a wise thing to do.

She:
Emotions make us feel and stay human. And I think, that’s a very wise thing to do.

D - Delicious Ambiguity

He:
So you have figured me all out, isn’t it?
She:
You think so?
He:
I think you atleast try to do that?
She:
And what do you think, have I succeeded?
He:
Nope. Not totally I guess
She:
Is it?
He:
Yeah. I am not that easy to fit into a neat little slot, isn’t it?
She:
Right. But that’s what makes you different. And special. If I could fit you into any slot, I wouldn’t have been this interested in you, right?
He:
Agreed
She:
By the way, I hope you do know that I haven’t put in much effort into knowing you?
He:
I know that. And I can't comprehend it
She:
Comprehend what?
He:
Well, you have been saying that you want to know me? And then you don’t put in efforts. Why is that?
She:
Because I like this.
He:
This?
She:
This. Delicious Ambiguity !!

C - Crap

He:
Don’t you get tired of listening to my crap all the time?
She:
No. Never
He:
I mean I get tired of myself. How can you not?
She:
I just don’t. Not once have I thought that you are talking crap and that I shouldn’t listen to you.
He:
I cannot fathom the reason how and why do you bear me every single time?
She:
I can fathom
He:
And what would that be?
She:
Familiarity
He:
Familiarity?
She:
Yup. The classic – Been there, done that kind of situation
He:
Care to explain?
She:
Well, I know that we all go through those dark low
times when we talk nothing but crap. And you know that you are talking crap but it still feels good that you have somebody who listens to that crap. And besides there are some people in this world whose crap is as important as their intellectual talks.

B - Believe

He:
You know you are a sadist.
She:
Am I now?
He:
Yes, you are. You don’t realize how difficult it is for people around you to listen to the fact that you wish to die. The way you throw it around so casually. Not flinching about it even for a second. Talking about your death at every possible instance.
She:
You know I talk about this thing only to you?
He:
I know. So you think it's easy for me?
She:
I know it's not. And I do feel guilty for making you live under my shadow of 'impending death.'
He:
And you still do it?
She:
As if you've never toyed with the idea of death and never talked about it with me?
He:
I don’t do it on purpose
She:
Neither do I
He:
As much cynical as I am about life, I wish I could say something or do something to hold you back
She:
Hold me where?
He:
Here. To this world. Even if I try I would sound like a hypocrite to my own self
She:
But you still try that, don’t you?
He:
Yes I do. As if you have never tried doing that? Try to talk me out of it.
She:
Have I now?
He:
Yes Madam. You have. You are a step ahead. I atleast let you talk about your death. You don’t even hear a word about it from me.
She:
You know the irony of both of us consoling each other to hold back to the world is that none of us believes it and yet we want the other person to believe it and stay back.
He:
You said it.
She:
I sure did

A - Alive

This is my second year in April A-to-Z Challenge and as usual I am a bundle of excitement and nervousness. Last year, I took the herculean task of putting up two posts a day. I wrote haiku for the theme section and random posts and poetry for non-themed part.
This year, my theme is 'Conversations'. Real, fictional or even a mix of both. So here we go for the first day. The word for the day is 'Alive'

She:
You need to stop living in the past. She is not coming back. What both of you had in the relationship is not getting recreated again.

He:
I know. I know she isn’t. But I just can't believe that something of this sort happened to my relationship. I never knew life could take this nasty turn.

She:
It's okay. That’s what life is and shit happens. It’s been more than two years now. You need to gather yourself and start living your life again.

He:
I will. Try. May be.

She:
Oh come on! You are behaving stupid. Tell me; were you dead before she came into your life?

He:
No, but I was most 'alive' when she was around.
