Imperfection Is Beautiful

The slant of my eyes
Freckled skin with a tan
This lopsided smile
Messed up hair
Tied under a worn-out band

Collar bones that don’t show
Layers around my waist
Oh, they hardly go
Those chipped nails
Ah, they never really grow

The curve of my hips
Stretch marks on my skin
Wound that got healed
But the scar?
I can still feel

The fickle odd world
And its standards of beauty
Matching them
Is neither a necessity
Nor a priority

Not much to flaunt
Not much to drool
Because they say
Imperfection
Is beautiful

  4. I don't think there is a person alive who doesn't have some imperfections. They each show a bit of our uniqueness and our humanness. I like the way you described this.

Wonderfully written - reading on imperfection reminds me the saying by marilyn Monreo"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely Boring"
    Thanks for sharing :)

  18. The words are great, they have a powerful meaning behind them. But the photo you used doesn't belong to you, I made that about a year ago and posted it to Instagram, some how though, its made its across random pages and websites, you can use but if you could kindly tell me where you found it, that would be great.
Thank you for your time, but please like I said I need to know where you found this so I can find the original person who took it off my page.

    1. Hi Joc. Thank you for appreciating my words. You are correct that the picture here doesn't belong to me. I searched it randomly and found this somewhere. To be true, I don't remember where or which page. If you want, I will take this off or if you give me the link then I can properly credit the same in your name.
