Drive - Haiku

striving I have been
to drive myself away, from
your numerous thoughts

your numerous thoughts
clinging tight under my skin
not letting me breathe

not letting me breathe
I choke on our memories
they refuse to fade

they refuse to fade
and you cascade inside me
wounding me again

wounding me again
yet, it's driving me nearer
to my past in you

  8. Love the idea of thoughts clinging under your skin. Great image. But some nostalgia needs to be kept at skin deep for sanity. Delightful cascade of haiku.
