Q - Quicksand

She:
Do you ever regret meeting me?
He:
What?
She:
What, What? I asked you something
He:
And why do you need to ask such weird questions?
She:
Because I know as much weird they are, you will answer me. So tell me, do you ever regret meeting me?
He:
No. Of course not. Why would I regret meeting you? But I do regret not meeting you earlier than we have met.
She:
Sure?
He:
Yes, I regret that. Wait, do you regret meeting me?
She:
Yes
He:
Yes?  You regret meeting me? Wow. I didn’t know that
She:
I do. Sometimes though
He:
And may I know the reason?
She:
Well, because I don’t learn. I am aware that I am committing the same mistake again and yet I don’t stop myself from committing it. Or may be I can't stop myself from committing it.
He:
Wait, knowing me is a mistake?
She:
No. I am talking about the habit that I have. That habit that probably even you have
He:
What habit?
She:
This vicious habit of making somebody our emotional anchor. Not realizing that this habit is precisely what sinks us like quicksand

  8. True. Too much emotional dependency can be the downfall of relationships. I liked how you related it to quicksand.

  9. Hey jyotsna!
This conversation really suits me a lot. Though, i do not outrightly express the dependancy part to people. Liked the way you related it to quicksand.

    1. Hi Sarah. Oh, that's me too. And yes, even I do not 'prefer' letting people know that I am dependent on them. Thank you dear :)

    1. Thanks babes. Glad you liked this one. Well, but emotional dependency can be dangerous, dont you think so ?? It can lead you feeling lost when the person you have come to depend on, is no longer available... And that is not a very good place to be in !!
